Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Software Developer Engineer, Full Stack to support KPS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a DOI Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer Engineer (full stack) to join a development team supporting a federal client with a business and IT modernization project. The project will be enhancing an existing application that automates a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer and team player that is passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their technical knowledge, skills, and experience to solve complex/real-world problems. The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support Koniag and our government customer is required. This position is Remote.

Potential candidate must be experienced in business application design and programming web-based applications, script writing, analytical methods, troubleshooting and debugging software. Proficient with full stack development, MVC, JavaScript frameworks (React preferred), C#, .NET, .NETCore, Node.js frameworks. Proficient with entity framework and T-SQL. Knowledge of and experience with the full software development life cycle using Agile principles.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working in a fast paced, collaborative team environment

  • Documenting application requirements and designing application n-tier architectures

  • Developing and deploying business applications

  • Estimating level of effort, design, development, code refactoring, unit testing, debugging, documentation, maintenance, performance tuning

  • Developing RESTful APIs, webservices

  • Enhancing business applications leveraging React, C#, .NETCore, Node.js and SQL Server

  • Calling APIs from other customer software platforms

  • Participating in sprint planning and sprint execution in TFS, Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools

  • Managing source code in Git, TFS, Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools

  • Bug investigation, tracking and resolution leveraging TFS, Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools

  • Investigating and leveraging open-source platform solutions

  • Integrating workflow into applications and portals

  • Creating application technical documentation

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Required experience with React, .NETCore, Node.js, and C#

  • Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL

  • Experience with Azure DevOps Git Repositories

  • Experience developing applications with multi-factor authentication requirements

  • Familiarity with CMMI a plus.

  • Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years designing, coding, programming experience in software development using Agile coupled with CMMI Level 3 maturity.

  • Documented performance in business application design and programming web‐based applications, script writing, analytical methods, troubleshooting and debugging software.

  • Proficient in JavaScript, React, SQL Server, .NetCore, nodejs, C# and other like tool sets.

  • Knowledge of and experience with the full software development life cycle using Agile principles.

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate technical information to management and the customer.

  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support Koniag and our government customer is required.

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
