The Mission Ahead

Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Who You Are

Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organization. Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports. Reviews project costs incurred by category, calculates future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates and risk analysis. Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within the project controls function. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff. Participates in the development of project controls strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures in estimating, project risk control, cost control, and scheduling.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What You’ll Do

As a Sr. Cost Control Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement cost control strategies and systems.

  • Monitor and analyze project costs and budgets to ensure financial targets are met.

  • Provide financial reporting and forecasting to management and project teams.

  • Work with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.

  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in cost management or a similar role in a project-driven environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial software.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.

  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.

  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.

Clearance:

  • Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
