General Function

This role will be a client facing role and operations role to assist Relationship Managers, Client Service and Trust Administrators, and Operations team in working with clients to obtain required information and documentation needed to facilitate the account opening process and conversion to Franklin Street Trust platforms and systems. The primary function of the Franklin Street Partners Client Onboarding Specialist will be to facilitate the onboarding activities for both new and existing clients related to the opening of new Investment Management, Trust and required Compliance documentation . This role will be the subject matter expert regarding client onboarding activities, the information and documentation required to open each type of new account, the process to obtain any necessary approvals related to an account opening and the process to submit opening requests to the appropriate LOB team for processing.

While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Experience:

· Responsible for obtaining all necessary information and documentation to facilitate the opening of new investment management, trust and deposit accounts including CIP, Enhanced Due Diligence, Client Statements, Beneficial Ownership Form, business entity related documents, trust related documents with assistance from Relationship Managers, Client Service and Trust Administrators and Compliance Office.

· Regular and frequent communication with clients and Franklin Street Partners team to ensure seamless onboarding experience into Franklin Street Partners.

· Conducts post-account opening follow-up call with client and Franklin Street Partners relationship and operations team.

Account Administration:

· Serves as the subject matter expert relative to all information and documentation required for each type of account opening as well as the process to facilitate the opening

· Ensure pre-acceptance of client accounts is complete, accurate and documented as required by policy and procedure.

· Prepares account agreements for client signature and execution

· Submits Account Openings for processing and interface with appropriate LOB related parties.

· Provides status updates on account opening and funding process to Relationship Team throughout the life of the opening

· Transitions Client to on-going service team once opening/onboarding process is complete

None; may assist new team members

Minimum Skills, Experience and Abilities

· Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or minimum 3 years of client service experience preferably in financial services

· Strong client experience skills, internal and external clients and the ability to work in team environment

· Knowledge of investment management strategies, markets, account types, basic estate planning principles and financial planning

· Experience with client contact (CRM) systems, document repositories, and electronic workflow management tools

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Effective time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task in high pace environment as well as maintain flexibility to meet business needs

· Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products.
