Job Overview

Global Logistics Analyst at the Global Distribution Center, Charleroi, PA Komatsu is a global leader in the Mining and Heavy Equipment industry. We have a position available immediately for a Global Logistics Analyst. This is an on-site position, with the office and warehouse located off the Bentleyville exit of Route 70, in the Alta Vista Business Park.

Key Job Responsibilities

Collect and analyze data for trending, six sigma quantitative improvements, and balanced scorecard metrics Provide oversight and input to optimize delivery of product and service, helping determine those vendors/partners who can achieve cost reductions and service goals Conduct analyses and research on logistics improvements, practices, and policies which deter defects, improve cycle times, and improve customer satisfaction Develop and improve upon packaging, load building/planning, and physical constructs involved with logistics programs Drive logistics improvements based on detailed cost benefit analysis from idea stage to full implementation Analyze and recommend solutions for technology-based solutions for aspects as broad as load density to cube utilization, accessorial charges to labor productivityand claims management. Take the lead on substantial logistics projects

Qualifications/Requirements

5-7 years business experience 4 years degree required; advanced degree preferred 3-5 years international. logistics, and/or distribution experience Strong analytical, investigative, interpersonal, and communication skills
