Job Purpose

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards that support strategic planning, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across the institution. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, gathering and analyzing data, and creating insightful reports that provide actionable insights.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field. 2-4 years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and/or report writing. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors degree on a year for year basis. Experience in higher education is highly preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with data analysis, report writing, and dashboarding tools (Cognos, Argos, Tableau,SQL, Power BI, etc.). Working knowledge of advanced dashboard and visualization best practices and techniques. Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices. Familiarity with data modeling,ETLprocesses, and data integration techniques. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders. Ability to assist with identifying and resolving problems. Ability to provide status reports and other technical reports in a clear and concise manner.

Additional Comments Regarding Position

Some weekend and evening activities may be required.
