Job Title: Concrete Superintendent

Job Description

As a Concrete Superintendent, you will provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to assigned project/site construction managers and assistant construction managers. You will spend the majority of your time in the field working side-by-side with and leading direct reports. This role requires evaluating performance of trade partners, collaborating with purchasing and other departments, and ensuring high levels of customer service to maximize homeowner satisfaction. You will also be responsible for ensuring direct reports understand and execute the company's construction and quality standards, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture, and assisting the VP of Construction/Operations in various tasks including developing and overseeing construction plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to assigned project/site construction managers and assistant construction managers.

• Spend the majority of time in the field working side-by-side with and leading direct reports.

• Evaluate performance of trade partners and work collaboratively with purchasing and other departments.

• Ensure high levels of customer service to maximize homeowner satisfaction.

• Ensure direct reports understand and execute the company's construction and quality standards.

• Model and reinforce actions consistent with the company's values, vision, and culture.

• Assist VP of Construction/Operations in developing and overseeing construction plans and specifications.

• Assist VP of Construction/Operations in establishing and monitoring cycle times for each product type.

• Ensure quality standards for materials, workmanship, and final product are upheld.

• Ensure all projects are 100% complete before closing and within specified cycle times.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Extensive knowledge of the construction industry, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural design, off-site improvement plans, and soil reports.

• Knowledge of relevant building codes and all scopes of work.

• Proficient in all Microsoft applications.

• Knowledge of Hyphen BuildPro.

• Must be proactive with the ability to multi-task and follow through with projects containing a high level of detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the home building industry is required.

Work Environment

This is an on-site role where superintendents will be expected to manage multiple jobs at once when they are close in proximity. Benefits include a 10% incentive/bonus plan for each finished project and a company vehicle.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00
