Actalent EHS Manager in Charleston, South Carolina

Job Title: EHS ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated EHS Manager to oversee all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment within our heavy industrial manufacturing setting. This role involves the management and development of EHS management systems compliant with ISO and other regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations. The EHS Manager will supervise permitting, compliance testing, and reporting obligations, actively manage safety by on-site evaluations, and lead incident investigations and follow-ups. Responsibilities also include advising on EHS policies, developing safety culture improvement strategies, and serving as the primary point of contact for external EHS authorities. Additionally, the role encompasses strategic planning, budget management, and leading EHS projects. You will oversee the emergency response team, manage contract security personnel, and conduct safety-focused training and stand-downs as required.
