Job Description
Responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety & health requirements including Plant, Corporate, Local, State, and Federal regulations. Maintain safety & health standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 45001 and OSHA VPP). Review of incidents for root cause and establishment of corrective and preventative actions. Provide technical assistance with various plant staff functions. Help in the coordination of plant safety teams.
Support and drive OSHA VPP culture at facility
Organize and hold safety and health campaigns for facility
Develop/revise health and safety related policies/procedures for the plant and drive implementation
Develop health and safety related communication including training, safety alerts, and production review meetings
Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with SC OSHA regulations
Conduct hazard assessments of equipment/jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements
Assist/lead change management tasks and conduct machine release inspections
Assist and lead safety audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bosch Norms
Coordinate safety related communication including training, alerts, and production review meetings
Lead/take part in Incident Investigation facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventative actions
Participate in/lead plant emergency response teams
Provide leadership and guidance to the plant safety teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of health, safety, or environmental experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Technical experience with driving programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety
2+ years of MS Office experience to include Excel and Word
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering, Sciences, Occupational Safety, Environmental, or other related field
Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Professional Engineer, or other related certifications
Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and OSHA VPP)
