Job Description

MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will maintain and troubleshoot equipment in order to achieve safety and product quality targets, in accordance with Bosch standards and procedures.

  • Monitor operations and perform adjustments as necessary to ensure quality production

  • Troubleshoot and analyze equipment problems

  • Initiate corrective actions to improve quality and equipment effectiveness

  • Repair or replace defective machine components, such as solenoids, valves, and cylinders

  • Perform line and machine changeovers

  • Optimize processes to reduce set-up time

  • Achieve expected production quantities to ensure customer goals are obtained

  • Complete assigned technical training to support personal growth and development

  • Collaborate with Operators, Manufacturing Technicians, Engineers, and area Leadership

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Identify trends, periodically analyze equipment/machine problems, perform necessary adjustments on manufacturing equipment, identify root causes and initiate corrective actions.

  • Coordinate efforts between operations and engineering functions

  • Set up spare parts, optimize preventative maintenance, keep process parameters updated

  • Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge

  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies and keep work areas clean and orderly

  • Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, MES, OPCON, Promaster, Tableau, etc.

  • Utilize International Production Network from other Bosch resources where necessary

  • Trouble-shooting equipment-related electrical issues

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years or older

  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Willing to learn and adapt in a fast paced, team environment

  • Highly motivated and self-driven

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

  • Mechatronics training preferred

  • Electrical/electronics background, working with PLCs, drive systems, etc.

  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)

  • Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment

  • Demonstrates self-initiative

  • Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork

  • Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes

  • Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
