DCL Corporation is currently seeking an R&D Chemist who will independently conduct laboratory experiments in the area of high performance organic pigments. The research will include the development of new products and support for existing products. The research will require the development of a working knowledge of organic synthesis, particle physics, color analysis, and statistical analysis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Independently conduct laboratory experiments.

• Follow laboratory safety practices.

• Write clear and concise reports on the status of assigned projects.

• A willingness to assist co-workers in analytical chemistry, process chemistry, and color chemistry

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS Degree in Chemistry or related field.

• 2 years' experience in a chemical synthesis laboratory (industry / academic)

• Proficient in Microsoft office applications.

• Previous experience writing technical reports.

WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must wear proper protective equipment.

• Safely handle hazardous chemicals.

• Stand for an extended period.

• Be able to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
