The Nature Conservancy Executive Assistant in Charleston, West Virginia

WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER The Executive Assistant will provide direct administrative support to the Director of Regenerative Food Systems and the Co-Director of Regenerative Food Low Emission Beef within the Provide Food & Water Business Unit. They will be responsible for various administrative support tasks, including domestic and international travel arrangements, calendar management, answering phones, drafting correspondence, processing expenses, and scheduling and coordinating logistics of meetings and special events. They will act independently on assigned tasks and exercise independent judgment based on analysis and experience; work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines. They will work within the scope of the program's strategic goals. They will coordinate projects with several variables and work within a defined timeline and budget. They will demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information. They will ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements. They will make purchases, process invoices, contract with vendors, and assist with budget preparation. They will provide input through project teams for the improvement of existing programs. They refer difficult questions and unusual problems to the supervisor. They will travel and work flexible hours, and the work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain. This full-time, remote position is based anywhere where The Nature Conservancy can do business and where the candidate can work during the US Eastern Time Zone. WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience or equivalent combination. Experience generating reports and interpreting data. Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading. Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines. Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated; Ability to analyze information to coordinate and plan activities, and solving problems; Ability to use Outlook, Concur, Zoom and other technology to achieve desired results; Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results; Experience working with a board of directors, donors, volunteers, the public, and/or all levels of staff Strong organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
