The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Direct Sales will be a pivotal leader in driving our growth strategy, leading a high-performing team of Regional Sales Managers dedicated to acquiring new business and expanding our footprint in the enterprise space. Reporting directly to the Group Vice President of Direct Sales, this role demands strategic thinking, exceptional leadership, and a proven ability to manage complex sales cycles in a competitive environment.

In this role, you will:

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Recruit, inspire, and mentor a team of Regional Sales Managers, fostering a culture of success and professional growth. Ensure your team consistently meets and exceeds performance goals.

  • Strategic Talent Management: Attract and retain top sales talent, creating an environment where sales professionals are motivated to excel. Focus on continuous development through coaching, training, and performance management.

New Business Acquisition and Sales Strategy:

  • Drive New Logo Acquisition: Lead efforts to secure new business across the enterprise space, positioning the company as a leader in the HCM market. Ensure a relentless focus on new logo acquisition, contributing significantly to the company’s revenue growth.

  • Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with overall business objectives. Collaborate closely with the GVP and other senior leaders to shape the strategic direction of the sales organization.

Operational Excellence and Sales Management:

  • Oversee Sales Operations: Manage day-to-day sales activities, including pipeline management, activity tracking, and forecasting. Implement disciplined sales processes to ensure the team consistently delivers above-quota results.

  • Ensure Forecast Accuracy: Build and maintain a precise sales forecast, guiding resource allocation and decision-making to ensure alignment with sales targets and broader business goals.

  • Optimize Sales Performance: Continuously refine sales approaches to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product, marketing, and customer success teams, to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with broader company objectives.

  • Communicate Effectively: Provide clear and consistent communication to the team and senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment of sales goals with the company’s strategic vision.

Market Intelligence and Innovation:

  • Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and drive innovation within the team.

  • Promote a Culture of Innovation: Encourage a mindset of continuous improvement, challenging the team to think creatively and pursue breakthrough results.

You’ve got what it takes if you have:

10+ years with the following:

  • Proven Sales Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading high-performing sales teams within the HCM or technology space, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.

  • Strategic Acumen: Strong business and negotiation skills, with the ability to strategically navigate complex sales environments and make informed decisions that drive growth.

  • Talent Development Expertise: A passion for developing and mentoring sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, and ensuring the team’s success.

  • Operational Excellence: Experience in managing sales operations with a focus on pipeline management, forecasting, and performance optimization.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to build consensus and work effectively across departments to achieve shared goals.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication abilities, capable of engaging C-level executives and influencing key stakeholders.
