Wells Fargo Control Management Senior Manager - Corporate Risk - FCRM in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Senior Manager to join the Corporate Risk/Enterprise Functions Control Management organization. The Senior Manager will be responsible for executing key risk management priorities and programs leading risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies, and managing a team of professionals that perform day-to-day risk and control activities in support of Financial Crimes Risk Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of managers, experienced officers, and officers in roles with moderate complexity and risk in accomplishing goals and priorities associated with Financial Crime Risk Management.

  • Engage and influence senior leaders in Financial Crime Risk Management, Corporate Risk Control Management, Independent Risk Management, Wells Fargo Audit and other constituents; ensure that all inquiries are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Identify and recommend Business Controls opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by managing and directing teams on strategy and execution of activities

  • Determine appropriate strategies and actions of Business Controls functional area to meet moderate to high risk deliverables by ensuring that all business risk issues are proactively identified and addressed appropriately

  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within defined scope of responsibility

  • Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders including managers

  • Interact directly with relevant business groups

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and aligned with strategic objectives in Business Controls functional area

  • Develop and guide a culture of Business Controls talent development to meet business objectives and strategies

  • Support consistent execution of Business Control Management responsibilities in alignment with the Control Management target operating model.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable leadership in Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Issues Management and control design/implementation/assurance

  • BSA/AML risk and controls experience

  • Strong demonstrable leadership skills

  • Self-starter interested in driving execution and discipline across the organization.

  • Meaningful knowledge across risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance

  • Demonstrated capability to confidently raise issues, escalate early, and engage in constructive credible challenge independently

  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Job Expectations:

  • Onsite presence required 3 days a week at the posted locations
