Role Overview:

  • Develops analytical and technical tools and delivers quantitative solutions for process enhancement and risk management

  • Contributes to a large project or multiple projects that are significant in scope and impact

  • Works as part of a broader team on delivery of projects spanning multiple quantitative domains

  • Interacts extensively with internal or external contacts to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems

  • Will leverage quantitative and programming skills to build deep knowledge of the banks pricing & risk libraries and infrastructure. Use this knowledge to serve as a trusted partners to clients

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate is expected to work closely with the business analysts, business partners and other technology partners to gather requirements as part of process discovery

  • Successfully use advanced predictive models and analytics to derive insights from data to implement business strategy and automation

  • Conduct research to study latest developments in the field of Machine learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing to solve real-world problems

  • Assess accuracy and sanity of data sources and implement efficient pre-processing processes

  • Author detailed model documentation for Regulatory audit and Model validation

  • Develop A/B testing framework to test Model quality and implement processes that monitor model performance in Production

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Economics or related Quantitative field

  • 5+ years relevant industry experience and minimum of 2 years programming experience in Python or R

  • Knowledge and Experience in Statistics and Data Mining Techniques -Classification, Clustering, Regression, Parameter Tuning, Dimensionality Reduction, Time Series Analysis, Drift Detection methods

  • Knowledge of models like Decision Trees, Random Forest Trees, SVM, Neural Networks and methods used in Hyper Parameter Tuning, Feature Selection, Ensembling, Bagging and Boosting

  • Data Visualization/presenting data using Excel, Tableau, Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Bokeh and ggplots

  • technical background with proven experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle

  • Basic knowledge of Source Control tools like BitBucket, Git and Collaboration tools like Sharepoint, Slack

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders

  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task with tight deadlines and navigate changing priorities in a fast paced environment

responsibilities:

  • Lead the governance and oversight program driving adherence to Enterprise data requirements and ensuring certain risks are mitigated through the execution of controls, processes and routines

  • Leads routines with stakeholders and various leaders reporting on program health and drive accountability with stakeholders

  • Operates with a risk and operational excellence mindset to ensure program is focused on controlling risk and operating with efficiency for all stakeholders

  • Identifies and contributes recommendations to strengthen program.

  • Support the build and execution of program's control framework as it is being improved

  • Design and execute QA efforts to identify weakness in controls and adherence

  • Gather and assess FLU adherence evidence

  • Gather various inputs to evaluate/challenge process health ratings

  • Liaison and support testing performed by Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance teams

  • Support the development of response to inquiries from GO stakeholders

  • Create training procedures to implement new or revised adherence requirements

  • Create and maintain governance procedures and process maps

  • Provide recommendations to simplify and strengthen processes and controls

  • Support the response and/or remediation of any audits or exams
