Wells Fargo Digital Product Management Director (Embedded Finance & Payments) in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

The Digital, Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking group is seeking a Digital Product Management Director to lead a team focused on digital partnerships. This individual will spearhead market discovery, client discussions, partner evaluation & engagement, and strategic customer co-creation focused on journeys that are highly critical to our Commercial Bank and Corporate & Investment Bank (CB/CIB) digital transformation. Equally as important will be identifying and executing on strategies to drive further client adoption of Wells Fargo's Payment Platform capabilities. This leader will blend industry expertise, executive presence, and partnership skills with the ability to go deep with customers, transformational partners, sales teams, product managers, technologists, architects, and experience designers to define game-changing innovation that is a win for our customers and Wells Fargo. Must be able to influence the overall roadmap and end-to-end execution in creating and delivering transformational experiences that help customers manage their product interactions digitally by managing partnerships that span across all our products (i.e. onboarding, portal, lending, embedded finance, APIs, mobile and tablet).

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a top subject matter expert to lead complex, innovative and diverse initiatives with enterprise impact + high-risk-and-value-add outcomes

  • Develop a deep pipeline of Fintech & Technology partners to significantly influence the trajectory of our digital roadmaps

  • Partner with providers of ERPs, Treasury Management Systems, and vertical/industry specific business software solutions to enable embedded banking experiences within the systems and tools our clients use to run their business

  • Work closely with central enterprise and emerging partnerships team to connect back to the broader corporate strategy

  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding large-scale enterprise-wide Customer Experience and Product Management strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations via strategic partners

  • Strategically lead all levels of Digital Product Management professionals and managers across the enterprise; represent the company externally in industry networking and trade and technical events

  • Identify and define client digital needs including portal and API solutions that will help propel their businesses forward leveraging Wells Fargo products/solutions

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow client adoption of API capabilities, accelerating the commercialization of our Wells Fargo Gateway solution

  • Deliver insights to help define solutions that are long-term, large-scale, broad-reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Manage and develop teams of digital professionals, supporting the development and execution of digital strategy within a business line or functional area

  • Set clear goals and expectations, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and engagement

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of management experience

  • Ability to lead with influence across activities with cross functional partners that drive to discovery and elaboration of transformation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with digital product development on payment products and rails

  • Experience working within fintech ecosystem and with third party software partners

  • Expertise across commercial & corporate banking payments, including corporate treasury, cash management, liquidity, risk & fraud management, capital markets and foreign exchange

  • Payment rails, infrastructure, and security (i.e. API, flat-file, integrations, etc.)

  • Fluent with operating in a scaled agile environment, ideally managing product owners

  • Strong relationship development and negotiation skills with global cross functional stakeholders

  • Strong customer interaction ability to participate in customer research and engagements

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • MBA preferred

  • This opportunity provides a hybrid work schedule

  • Base Pay Range for NYC & Bay Area is $207,900 - $431,900 USD
