TEKsystems Excel/SQL Data Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description:

w2 only, uptown onsite 3 days a week

This resource will be responsible for the end to end production support of metric reporting routines for reports/dashboards that are shared with executive leadership.

This resource will be working with advanced excel formulas, need to understand inner and outer joins as well as write complex sql queries. They will be responsible for the tracking/reporting of metrics via data visualization and data graphs for all of the global technology and identify any anomalies or breaches in the data.

Day to Day Duties:

  • QA of data tables

  • SQL fixes so understanding inner and outer joins, and being able to understand and write simple and complex SQL queries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The role provides dashboards and critical end to end production support of metric reporting routines. The

reports/dashboards are shared with senior executives within and outside of the organization to drive proper risk

culture and business strategy. Given the level of the audience, report dashboards and executive summaries

must be pristine and error free. Data dashboarding and data analytics responsibilities may

include, and are not limited to, build or enhancement of Tableau reports and dashboards, Adhoc report creation or

data refresh, import and manipulation of data across varied sources, data mining, trending analysis, data

aggregation, key risk indicator reporting, creating SQL infrastructure to store required data, risk program metrics

analysis, performance/milestone analytics, success analytics to identify areas of discrepancy and possible atrisk

controls, and collaborating with business partners to design and build new reports based on their business

requirements.

Success measures for this role include:

· Consistent, timely delivery of report builds or modifications in Tableau environment

· Timely delivery of reporting requirements using existing macros and code

· Proactive identification of code or macro breaks

· Successful application of macro/code fixes and creation

· Demonstrated ability translate users’ needs into reports or dashboards

· Reliable application of advanced Excel and SQL skills to produce reporting in an efficient, timesaving manner

· Demonstrated ability capture, manipulate and clean data from multiple sources and systems of record

· Ability to remain nimble and positive when priorities change and Adhoc needs arise

· Shows a sense of urgency and attention to detail as standard work practice

· Strong collaboration

Required Skills:

· Moderate-to-advanced Tableau dashboard creation /modification (5+ years)

· Moderate-to-advanced SQL skills (5+ years)

· Advanced, expert Excel skills (5+ years)

· MicroStrategy or other reporting business intel
