Job Title: Fund Accounting Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Fund Accounting Manager with a strong background in audit from a top-tier public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will hold a CPA designation and have a deep understanding of fund accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial for managing the day-to-day operations of the fund accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and supporting the overall financial strategy of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, ensuring high performance and professional development. Oversee daily operations, including the preparation and review of financial statements, NAV calculations, and other related reports.

• Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and other financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Audit and Compliance: Leverage your audit experience from a top-tier public accounting firm to manage internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SEC and other regulatory filings.

• Fund Administration: Manage the fund accounting process, including the setup of new funds, management of subscriptions and redemptions, and calculation of management and performance fees.

• Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information. Identify and mitigate risks associated with fund accounting operations.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, regulators, and other key stakeholders. Provide insights and support to senior management regarding fund performance and financial matters.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is required.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including audit experience from a top-tier public accounting firm. Prior experience in fund accounting or asset management is preferred.

• Strong technical accounting skills, particularly in fund accounting and financial reporting.

• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
