Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute as full members of your assigned project teams, with projects that could include:

• Advertising development

• New product introductions and rollouts

• Competitive analysis and market research

• Local and regional marketing strategy and execution

• Sales promotions and events

• Customer-facing digital media

• Generating collateral materials for internal and external use

• Providing support in field/ Channel marketing programs

• Support direct project manager on strategic project work as needed

• Meeting with key leaders across all functions

• Assist with various events and marketing functions.

• Work on cross-functional intern team to prepare end-of-summer presentation

Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business/International Business or a related area is preferred

• Excellent academic credentials with proven comprehension of business fundamentals

• Proven leadership skills, the ability to drive change, and a strategic understanding of marketing and communications competencies.

Required Skills:

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Works well in a team environment.

• High-level of initiative; self-starter

• Able to work with minimal supervision.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Platforms, Google Analytics.

Requirements:

• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later

• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
