Wells Fargo Lead Cloud Engineer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to join the Risk Technology Team within Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT). This role will be involved with an Enterprise-wide cloud migration and will partner with peer organizations to define design patterns that support model development, training, and production use in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies and guidelines and industry best practices. They will partner with the Model Governance team to ensure appropriate model lifecycle compliance and model approval prior to use. This role will be working with cross functional teams to develop innovative, mission-critical, massively scalable solutions with best-in-class cloud technology and platforms that offer differentiated user experience to all our customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of Python Full Stack Engineering with Cloud Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in building Microservices Applications

  • 2+ years of Kubernetes experience

  • 2+ years of experience in running large scale compute on GPUs (Graphics Processing Units)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cloud Native Application

  • GCP (Google Cloud Professional) Certificate

  • Experience on OpenShift

  • Experienced in Spark and Big Data Technologies

  • Reporting tool experience (Dremio, PowerBI)

  • Experienced in Python, Spark, Cloud and Big Data Technologies

  • Reporting tool experience
