Responsible for providing analysis and recommendations for mortgage originations through coordination of projects, performance analyses, and reporting requirements for strategic planning, risk management and business case development. Aid manager and executive leadership with effectively deploying strategic objectives for Mortgage Originations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support Mortgage Originations by providing data analysis, project deliverables, risk management and sales operational needs to achieve strategic objectives.

  2. Perform analysis of findings and trends using various methods that could include statistics, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.

  3. Identify and suggest the most appropriate response to identified complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.

  4. Collaborate with stakeholders, including but not limited to, Origination, Servicing, Secondary Marketing, Mortgage Lending Administration, Risk Management Organization, Model Risk Management, Internal Audit, external auditors and consultants to elicit business needs, gather requirements and offer solutions.

  5. Prioritize analysis of exceptions, findings, reports, processes, controls and technology for optimum deployment of mortgage resources for increasing profitability and reducing risk.

  6. Participate with subject matter experts (SMEs), business partners, technology group and others to develop clear and accurate reporting and process maps.

  7. Demonstrate an organized, efficient, detail-oriented and creative mind in all work activities.

  8. May lead Originations projects and initiatives outlined by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent education and related training

  2. 5+ years of experience in any combination of finance, operations, risk management, quality assurance, consulting, product development, project management, banking or equivalent

  3. 2+ years of specialized knowledge in the mortgage and banking industry

  4. Excellent decision-making and verbal skills

  5. Ability to participate and cooperate in joint projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics

  2. Advanced professional certification related to accounting or finance

  3. Familiarity with residential real-estate assets, loans, modeling and industry indicators
