Job Summary
Compass Group USA was named one of America’s 500 Best Employers by Forbes, ranking as the highest contract food and business support services company seeks an energetic, passionate, career-oriented Director of Retail Performance to develop and deliver retail solutions across Compass Group, North America.
The retail landscape is constantly changing, as is the consumer preferences, buying behaviors, channel preferences and macro-economic forces. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and maximizing retail sales, profitability and performance through leveraging traditional and digital marketing through collaboration with key internal and external partners. The Manager will help deliver value added solutions, resources and services that drive sales. He/She/They should have a firm grasp of retail reporting, KPIs and internal/external data sources to help develop, maintain, and implement smart solutions across our business.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategy and implementation to drive mobile retail sales and margin.
Support strategy, implementation, and evaluation of new scalable retail programs
Evaluate current programming for updates and identify areas of improvement
Collaborate closely with data and analytics teams to gather, arrange, and deliver analysis
Manage projects with multiple key stakeholders
Work closely with digital team and key supplier partners
Strategize programs from pilot to scale, plan and organize deliverables, required resources, timeline, and budget
Collaborate across a matrixed organization including a diverse team of associates, suppliers and clients and retail operators
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross-functional retail team, Compass sectors, resource teams and strategic partners
Monitor the industry and competitive landscape. Analyzes internal and external data such as sales, sourcing, and pricing.
Identify patterns and market trends to help refine product strategies.
Achieve goals measured by KPIs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, project management or related field
5+ years professional experience in retail, foodservice or agency
Experience in the beverage business (bottler, CPG, retailer)
Business acumen to analyze category performance and make recommendations
Experience with mobile/digital marketing and analysis
Analytical skills and firm understanding of data sources, modeling, and executive level reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel
