As a Rough Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades your responsibilities will include but not limited to, knowledge of rough framing, Reframing headers, and Punch-out. Mostly wood framing, but occasionally metal stud framing will be required. This project is located in Near Downtown Charlotte and is a long term project. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $25 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Working with metal and wood framing

• Using hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework

• Reading and understanding blueprints and drawings

• Helping place and secure wood during the building process

• Being confident in Rough, framing rough, and concrete framing

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Must be able to walk and climb comfortable with heights

  Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years rough commercial carpentry experience

• Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.

• Reliable transportation to and from jobsites

• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly

• OSHA 10 preferred but not required

• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload wood and other materials as well as carry needed tools and materials to and from the jobsite

• Must be comfortable with heights
