People Ready Skilled Trades Is looking for a dedicated, reliable, and professional Rough Carpenter with minimum 3 years expereince. As a Rough Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades your responsibilities will include but not limited to, knowledge of rough framing, Reframing headers, and Punch-out. Mostly wood framing, but occasionally metal stud framing will be required. This project is located in Near Downtown Charlotte and is a long term project. This project is first shift and has opportunity for Overtime. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $25 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Working with metal and wood framing
Using hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework
Reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
Helping place and secure wood during the building process
Being confident in Rough, framing rough, and concrete framing
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to walk and climb comfortable with heights
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years rough commercial carpentry experience
Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
OSHA 10 preferred but not required
Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload wood and other materials as well as carry needed tools and materials to and from the jobsite
Must be comfortable with heights
