Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves a range of accounting duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle account reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are accurate

• Manage balance sheet reconciliation processes to maintain financial integrity

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly

• Prepare and file multi-state tax returns in compliance with regulations

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate accounting records

• Regularly prepare and post journal entries

• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

• Utilize Sage 300 accounting software for various accounting tasks

• Handle utilities and utility billing efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or in a similar role.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with Sage 300 software.

• Deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Expertise in preparing general ledger and journal entries.

• Demonstrated ability in handling multi-state tax returns.

• Experience in utility billing and understanding of utilities.

• Ability to manage month-end close procedures.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
