Description We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in the service industry located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and statement preparation across all entities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the calculation, tracking, accounting, and payment for the company’s contractual obligations including royalty, rebate, and commission plans.

• Manage the financial reporting for company debt, ensuring obligations are properly recorded in the financial statements.

• Prepare and file use tax returns, IRS required reporting, and other miscellaneous state and/or federal returns and forms as needed.

• Coordinate all general ledger postings and related transactions.

• Oversee the returns, credits & markdowns database, validate transactions, and provide all associated reporting and analysis.

• Act as liaison with the Payroll Department to ensure accurate posting of payroll.

• Coordinate intercompany activity with various entities, both domestic and international.

• Assist with the month-end closing process by providing support in the areas of account analysis, journal entry preparation, and posting to the general ledger.

• Analyze, verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.

• Review posted transactions and prepare correcting accounting entries as needed.

• Coordinate all applicable account reconciliations and ensure completion in accordance with company-defined schedules.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS as appropriate.

• Should be adept at performing Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in maintaining and managing the General Ledger

• Must be well-versed in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Should be able to perform Month End Close tasks efficiently

• Intercompany Accounting skills are a must

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Should be able to work independently and in a team

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed

• Must be able to manage time and tasks efficiently

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required

• Must have a strong ethical code and uphold company policies and standards.
