Honeywell Sr. Export Compliance Officer in Charlotte, North Carolina

As a Sr Export Compliance Officer (IT Lead) here at Honeywell you support the Export Compliance team responsible for IT operations and will report to a Sr. Manager, Export Compliance. This position will work closely with Honeywell IT to design and implement new tools to reinforce export compliance requirements

THE BUSINESS UNIT

The Corporate Strategic Business Group (CORP SBG) at Honeywell is a division focused on corporate-level functions and initiatives that support the overall operations and strategy of the company. It is responsible for overseeing areas such as finance, legal, human resources, communications, and corporate governance, working closely with other business units and SBGs to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization. The CORP SBG plays a crucial role in the overall strategic direction and management of Honeywell's corporate functions and operations, supporting the company's business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementation and development of GTS in SAP.

  • Develop and apply new processes for Export Authorization using OCR EASE.

  • Perform Unit, System and Integration testing for SAP, GTS, and other Export Compliance-related tools.

  • Perform review and audit of IT applications, servers, databases, and storage systems to ensure compliance of foreign person access to regulated data.

  • Support development and training of export control policies and procedures and communications with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT department.

Job Skills

  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel, Access, and Word

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • IT infrastructure architecture /security knowledge

  • Ability to identify and resolve potential problems in a timely manner while working in a fast paced environment.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • The preferred candidate will be a US Citizen

  • IT experience, preference is SAP.

  • 5 + years of experience in working with IT controls involving regulated data under control of Department of State, ITAR and Department of Commerce, EAR

WE VALUE

  • We value, BS/BA in Information Systems or Computer Science.

  • Software Programing experience.

  • Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated for high performance levels working independently.

  • Extensive knowledge of IT Mainframe and client server applications architecture (SAP/GTS/PDM beneficial).
