The anticipated salary range for this role is between $179,000.00 and $230,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

SMBC Capital Markets, Inc. is seeking a Technology Transformation specialist within its Capital Markets Technology group.

As a Technology Transformation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s technological landscape. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners to drive innovation, efficiency, and value. Your expertise will guide us through large-scale transformations, ensuring that our technology aligns with our business goals and enhances overall performance.

Role Objectives

  • Business Agility and Time-to-Market

  • Enhance agility by streamlining processes and reducing time-to-market.

  • Identify opportunities in the SDLC process for improvement

  • Establish methods to improve technology delivery for the lines of business

  • Cost Reduction and Efficiency

  • Optimize day-to-day technology operations to reduce costs.

  • Implement best practices for design, governance, and benchmarking.

  • Manage outsourced solutions effectively.

  • IT Strategy and Vision

  • Support and communicate a clear technology vision aligned with our organizational objectives.

  • Establish and guide core KPI’s and OKR’s for development organizations

  • Contribute to driving a more cohesive technology framework across the departments

  • System Transformation and Modernization

  • Assess existing systems, identify pain points, and recommend improvements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to modernize processes, enhance development practices, and optimize performance.

  • Explore cloud services and other cutting-edge solutions to drive efficiency.

  • ServiceNow Implementation

  • Specialize in implementing ServiceNow, a powerful tool for IT service management, HR services, and compliance.

  • Leverage ServiceNow to improve efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance user experiences.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in technology transformation or as a technology consultant

• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in transformation of SDLC framework

• Certification or equivalent work experience with SAFe

• Hands on experience identifying and establishing stakeholder forums, reporting and communications

• Capital Markets experience

• Solutions based mindset

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
