About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager to support our Balance Sheet Team in our Multifamily Capital (MFC) division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess, analyze and report balance sheet and investor risk

  • Monitor, analyze, and report property level operating performance using enterprise and investor reporting applications and tools

  • Monitor borrower compliance with loan requirements and covenants

  • Conduct risk ratings

  • Perform and/or review property physical inspections/assessment of on-site management staff/local market conditions

  • Complete watch list monitoring

  • Perform processing of lender consents

  • Administration of insurance losses and processing draws on collateral reserve accounts

  • Manage the daily workflow of the assigned portfolio

  • Adhere to all investor and internal risk mitigation practices, reporting requirements and deadlines

  • Understand and adhere to all asset management requirements as communicated by the investor (internal or external - Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc. ) via applicable guides, lender memorandums, email and other correspondence

  • Understand and adhere to all internal credit, risk and internal control policies as are applicable to asset management

  • Assist the broader Balance Sheet Team on projects when needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Familiarity with highly structured loan transactions

  • Experience in asset managing commercial bank balance sheet loans, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS)

  • Communication skills that include experience presenting to varying levels of management

  • Ability to multi-task, achieve tight timeframes, and stay organized in fast-paced, complex environment while functioning both independently and as part of a team

  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions

  • Knowledge and understanding of credit and income producing real estate

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

  • Ability to read and understand complex commercial real estate loan or real estate investment documentation

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, real estate or a related field

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed

  • Ability to travel as needed including overnight trips

Pay Range:

  • New York, New York: $138,500 - $185,000 USD Base Pay Annually

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
