Overview :

As an IT Lead , your primary responsibility is to maintain and support the organization’s information technology infrastructure and day-to-day operations of Bic’s Charlotte distribution and packaging warehouses. You’ll ensure that hardware, software, and network systems operate efficiently, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely assistance to end-users. Your role contributes to the smooth functioning of the company’s IT environment. You will be part of Bic’s IT - Group Supply Chain team, reporting to the North American IT Group Supply Chain lead, and will work with other IT teams within the organization to support the operational efficiency of the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical assistance to employees, addressing hardware and software problems promptly.

• Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.Install operating systems and relevant software.

• Network Maintenance: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and assist with network equipment setup.

• Server Management: Assist in server installation, backups, and antivirus updates.Ensure server systems run smoothly.

• User Training: Educate staff on IT best practices, security protocols, and efficient system usage.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, software licenses, and technical procedures.

• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, vendors, and external partners.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred

• IT experience in supporting warehouse operations

• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications

• Networking Basics: Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN concepts

• Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach

• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze issues, identify roots causes, and implement effective solutions

• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus
