University of Virginia Analyst-2 in Charlottesville, Virginia

Provides analytical and technical support with complex and large scoped projects and serves as a technical expert on financial analysis. Collaborates with Consultant team members to support leadership with financial reporting & forecasting. Expected to maintain a high level of understanding and demonstrate extensive knowledge in financial analysis and forecasting. Must be proficient with computer software that includes complex databases, spreadsheets, and statistical applications such as MySQL, Hyperion, etc.

  • Provides financial analysis on system wide projects for the Medical Center planning and analysis consultants and operations leadership

  • Prepares detailed reports, data, analytics, and actionable business insights relating to business planning and business performance improvement efforts.

  • Collaborates with planning and analysis consultants in the creation of strategic and long range business plans.

  • Provides analysis for development of capital and operating budgets.

  • Exercises sound judgment in recommendations of financial decisions

  • Collaborates on the development and delivery of professional presentations that influence senior leadership decision making.

  • Willingly adapts to organizational change and models commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

  • Naturally inquisitive with extreme attention to detail.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $60,236.80 - $96,387.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required Experience: 2 years relevant experience Licensure: CGMA and PMP preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
