The Staff Manufacturing Scientist for Beckman Coulter is responsible for leading and supporting multi-site consumable manufacturing equipment validation and process improvement projects that deliver value to the company and meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
This position is an integral part of Consumable Sustaining Engineering and will be located in Chaska, MN and will be an onsite role . At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time
You will work with the Senior Manager who is responsible for meeting quality, safety, and cost savings goals through design and manufacturing process improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Work with internal customers to identify consumable engineering improvement opportunities that support business growth.
Work cross functionally to help define equipment user requirements, conduct risk analysis, draft verification and validation test plans and reports, and execute design transfers.
Ensure compliance in the design and implementation of automated manufacturing equipment with the stated quality and engineering regulations in the medical device industry.
Lead teams through design changes for technical processes or equipment improvement projects.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related technical field with a minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree in a related field with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated skills in design control processes, including design change, risk management, design requirements, design validation & verification, and design transfer.
Experience in Project Management
Experience working in GMP environment with automated manufacturing.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Working knowledge of statistics
