What Do ELL Coaches Do?

• Acts as an instructional leader in the development, implementation, and coordination of the ELL program across the curriculum by guiding, directing, and modeling for staff

• Researches, analyzes, and disseminates current research and resources on instructional ELL practices

• Uses both data and analysis of students' learning to assist classroom teachers in making decisions to improve instructional practices and interventions

• Establishes goals for the instructional support program appropriate to the setting and teachers served

• Plans the ELL instructional support program, integrated with the overall school program

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Professional Educator License with Illinois ESL approval or endorsement
