This position involves independent work incident to receiving, verifying, warehousing and issuing medical supplies and equipment used by a large mental hospital. The unit processes material valued over $1,000,000.00 annually. Coordinates property and inventory control for Northeast Florida State Hospital. This consists of eighty-eight (88) buildings housing equipment over approximately three hundred (300) acres. Assist in reducing cost of controllable expenses, coordinates property and inventory control which consists of eighty-eight (88) buildings housing equipment over approximately three hundred (300) acres. Conduct field audits to gather staffing data and department inventories to compute replacement cost values for insurance purposes. Input inventory data to SAMAS/FLAIR as part of a records maintenance program. Inputs monthly vehicle data into EMIS system. Compile information and prepares reports as needed regarding inventory. Input, maintain and audit accounting records for “high risk” i.e., microwaves, t.v.’s technology, etc. (minor property). Initiate forms for the transfer and disposal of state property. To ensure optimum customer satisfaction, assigns property numbers and tags to accountable equipment, which identifies age, condition and value. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
