We are on the lookout for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The primary function of this role is to oversee all financial aspects of our operations, including the management and coordination of our accounting procedures and financial reporting. This role is instrumental in maintaining our company's financial health and stability.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the the Accounts Payable area

• Manage general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy of all financial records

• Coordinate the month-end close process and handle all intercompany transactions

• Supervise the preparation of financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and timely completion

• Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes

• Handle treasury duties, including the management and forecasting of cash flow

• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate successful audits and compliance with regulatory requirements

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial and accounting policies and internal controls

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data

• Supervise a diverse team of accounting and finance staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting management or supervisory role

• BS in Accounting/Finance

• Exposure to payroll

• Demonstrable knowledge of standard accounting functions is necessary

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in auditing processes and procedures

• Assisting with special projects

• Ability to make adjusting journal entries as needed

• Must have experience with accruals and month-end close processes

• Proficiency in preparing financial statements is required

• Experience with intercompany transactions is a must

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
