Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position for Erlanger Health in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Erlanger Health is an academic medical center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and is the region's most comprehensive network of hospitals and physicians. This position will assist in managing the clinical nutrition programs at Erlanger Baroness Hospital, the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger including the Children’s Hospital Outpatient Center, Erlanger East Hospital, Erlanger North Hospital, Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital, and Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager III, in this role you will:

• be responsible for assisting in managing the inpatient and outpatient Clinical Nutrition programs on the Erlanger campuses;

• supervise, train and mentor new and current Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Interns;

• provide technical support to the diet office and collaboration with Patient Service Managers;

• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;

• provide education to patients and families; develop and implement medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care;

• provide staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families;

• collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during team conferences to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions; and

• participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance activities.

• have a TN license, and able to obtain NC license;

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Basic Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
