Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for multiple Collections Specialists in the Manufacturing industry, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves managing customer accounts and interactions, working a large aging report, answering inbound calls, performing billing functions, and utilizing Microsoft Excel for data management. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in commercial collections.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing and tracking customer account transactions

• Resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action based on account status

• Sending out prepared letters and invoices to customers as required

• Managing communications with customers, which may include sending emails, handling mailings, and phone calls

• Updating customer accounts

• Being prepared to handle difficult customer conversations, if needed

• Accepting and managing inbound calls related to accounts and payments.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Commercial Collections

• Experience in answering inbound calls in a professional manner

• Familiarity with various billing functions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in collections

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
