Job Summary

As a Sales Development Specialist (SDS) specializing in outbound lead generation, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying, qualifying, and developing potential sales leads for the Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Team. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will proactively engage with prospects, generate interest in our products/services, and set the stage for successful sales engagements, and cold calling to increase the Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) market pipeline. Develop and create methods for researching and qualifying new potential customer segments and markets to drive new business. Be comfortable speaking with a wide range of customers, in different markets and industries.

Essential Functions

  • Prospect Identification: Identify and qualify opportunities from lead generation activities, inbound product inquiries and outbound calling campaigns into defined target groups, Research and identify potential customers in target markets through a variety of channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking.

  • Lead Qualification: Engage with prospects to assess their needs, pain points, and fit with our solutions, qualifying leads before passing them to the sales team.

  • Outbound Outreach: Develop and execute outbound sales strategies to initiate meaningful conversations, identify and develop key contacts and decision makers within prospect accounts. Cold-calling potential customers and be able to generate sales leads.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align outbound efforts with overall sales and marketing strategies. Communicate ZOLL Medical's value proposition and tailor to customer needs.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline of leads, tracking all activities and communications in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Connect and Sell).

  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), such as outreach volume, lead conversion rates, and opportunities generated, to optimize performance. Timely and accurate data entry of all pertinent customer information into the ZOLL CRM database.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and best practices in outbound sales development to continuously improve outreach effectiveness.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent preferred

  • 0-2 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or a similar role

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding lead generation quotas.

  • Familiarity with multi-channel outreach strategies, including email campaigns, cold calling, and social media outreach.

  • Ability to learn quickly, ensure timely and accurate follow-up.

  • Excellent phone and computer skills (MS Office Suite).

  • Proficiency using the internet to conduct research.

  • Ability to perform individually with specific direction and manage time efficiently.

  • Develop an organized daily routine of reviewing leads, making outbound calls, and responding to customer emails.

  • Energetic, creative, motivated self-starter, goal oriented and a team player.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and persuade prospects.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing time and tasks efficiently.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, Connect and Sell) and sales automation tools.

  • High degree of resilience and persistence in outbound prospecting efforts.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Understanding of sales processes and a basic knowledge of the industry (if relevant).
