Trinity Health Food Service Supervisor in Chelsea, Michigan

Description:

Position Purpose: The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for food service customer service, ordering, overseeing room service line and general supervision of the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience as foodservice supervisor preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead and supervise.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to complete all duties and assigned paperwork.

  • Ability to lead shift crew to successful completion of outlined objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participates in their resolution.

  • Maintains knowledge to perform the duties of the job. Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to management.

  • Identifies and assists in resolution of problems related to safety, sanitation and maintenance of the environment.

  • Manage and maintain colleagues’ adherence to all Chelsea Hospital policies including Attendance and Appearance Dress Code policies.

  • Complete all order of supplies pertaining to supervisory shift as needed.

  • Complete and deliver performance evaluations to colleagues on supervisory shift.

  • Oversee staff development (i.e. Healthstream, on the job training, etc.) and department specific orientation to new hire colleagues.
