Medical Assistant
Department : Radiology
Location : Chelsea hospital
Minimum rate of pay : $17.33 per hour Position Purpose :
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide patient care assistance to the Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and other department staff. Additionally, the Certified Medical Assistant will have the following duties and responsibilities of maintaining patient flow through department, bring back patients for their appointments and verify information with the patient, prep patients for any/all procedures performed in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, transport specimens, discharge patient and answer any questions that they may have, assist with ordering supplies and stocking inventory, maintain clean exam rooms and stock supplies.
Shift Available: Day Shift
Status available: Full-time, benefit eligible (40 hours per week)
Required Qualifications:
Current certification as a Medical Assistant
2-3 years recent experience in a medical setting as a medical assistant
Proven experience in IV placement and management
Knowledge of medical terminology; strong computer skills; ability to work directly with the medical team in a fast-paced growing environment and a commitment to service excellence.
Performs competencies as assigned for the role.
