Job Summary:
Eastern Washington University is currently seeking an Executive Chef/Cook 3 - Float Schedule. This position will be responsible for daily food production with an emphasis on menu development and product usage. Responsibilities will also include catering, special events, and special diet meals -- including plant based options. The position will also maintain quality and safety standards in Dining Services operations.
• Typical Cook 3 Duties:
• Daily production as needed
• Schedules and assigns work; creates prep lists; establishes and maintains timelines
• Prepares menus and recipes; determines production amounts; requisitions products; maintains records; creates reports
• Trains and instructs others in cooking and food service work
• Establish and maintain working relationships; maintain a positive kitchen culture
• Plans meals, events, special diets

The salary for this position is $44,580 -- $59,568. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement.
