Description

We are in the search for an entry-level Accountant to join our financial services team located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This role involves assisting with auditing files and processing reconciliations. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in auditing files to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures and standards

• Process reconciliations, identifying any discrepancies and resolving them in a timely manner

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure our practices comply with financial laws

• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

• Utilize excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Communicate effectively with team members and management on job-related matters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with bank reconciliations is necessary

• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Must be able to pass all required checks and screenings as mandated by the company.
