Aerotek Electromechanical Assembler in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Job Description

Hiring for an Electro-Mechanical machine builder. You will build control panels for the interior of the machinery. The role requires a technician with a high degree of problem-solving ability to wire complex and precision assemblies and complicated machines to build a quality product. The machine has critical electrical specifications and operating relationships with components and completed assemblies, requiring the application of skilled electrical principles and a broad knowledge of electrical techniques. The Electrical Assembly Technician assists with the final inspection and testing of machinery to ensure equipment meets performance standards and requirements.

Hard Skills

  • Electrical Assembly of complex units

  • Positioning, erecting, aligning, and leveling electrical wiring and components

  • Reading and interpreting work orders, schematics, and specifications

  • Cutting wire to specified lengths

  • Crimping terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends

  • Routing, combing, twisting, wrapping, tying, and attaching wire to terminal points

  • Connecting wiring to accessories

  • Conducting functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies

Soft Skills

  • High degree of problem-solving ability

  • High attention to detail

  • Self-motivation skills

Work Environment

Works individually at a production station as part of a group to perform various operations according to build schedules. The role is on a manufacturing floor with individual assembly space. Required to bring own tools. Lean Manufacturing Environment. Includes a 10-minute break and one 30-minute lunch. Currently working 5+ hours of overtime weekly. Physical demands include regularly lifting 30-50 pounds, performing repetitive tasks, possessing manual dexterity, and being on their feet for the majority of the shift.
