Sodexo is seeking an innovative and hands-on Environment Services/Custodial Manager 1 to provide leadership at Katz Jewish Community Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. This Manager will be responsible for execution and delivery of work order flow, custodial equipment inventory, coaching and training and customer satisfaction. The ability to multitask, and handle multiple priorities is essential for this role.

Our Sodexo Environmental Services/Custodial teams work to direct custodial operations at client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions. These teams also have responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of staff, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and student satisfaction. The successful candidate will:

• provide a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, visitors and staff;

• ensure equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance;

• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments;

• be able to perform cleaning tasks as needed, hands-on;

• cover for call-outs;

• troubleshoot building issue that may arise and maintain sidewalks during inclement weatherfor safety;

• administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, training, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.);

• interact with outside vendors;

• ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met;

• effectively provide leadership and direction to custodial staff; and/or

• support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

• have a flexible schedule and can work a shift with the hours of 4 PM to 12:30 AM, with possible weekend and holiday shifts;

• have experience leading and managing a team and as a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system;

• are results and safety driven;

• have knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures in a leadership capacity;

• The ability to move tables (6ft, 8ft and round) chairs, furniture and other needed items for events;

• can multi-task and set priorities; and/or

• are proficient with computers and other technology.
