U.S. Marine Corps WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR in Cherry Point, North Carolina

Responsibilities You will operate all functions of the potable water treatment systems by either computer remote command or hand/manual mode. You will adjust these systems to produce potable water that meets the potable water system demand and quality limits specified by the Navy, and the Safe Drinking Water Act enforce by the EP and the State of North Carolina. You will issue preventative maintenance sheets, generate repair worksheet, and collecting completed sheets for submittal to the Program Manager. You will maintain a record of plant operations, collect data and develop reports for submission to regulatory agencies. You will make production test on well pumping stations for flow rate, static water levels, draw down and recovery rates. You will receive, handle, and store hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. You will perform calibration and preventive maintenance on plant treating and pumping systems. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision: Operating, cleaning and performing preventive maintenance on water pumping and treatment systems that produce potable water for domestic and industrial uses and for fire protection.
