Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Program Expert to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) Program. NSWCDD DNA utilizes Research & Development and Engineering to develop innovative, affordable, and effective threat-driven integrated training systems, cyber warfare, fleet readiness and sustainment solutions for the Naval Warfighter. NSWCDD DNA has a requirement to design, develop, produce, deploy and test prototypes in support of its stated mission.

The following are representative of the possible programs, sponsors, systems and sub-systems to which the required technical support may be applied:

  • Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment - Combat Systems (STAVE-CS)

  • Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) Integrated Combat Systems

  • Chromatic Reaper, Maritime Sensors Program Management Office (MSPMO)

  • Chromatic Kraken, Maritime Sensors Program Management Office (MSPMO)

  • PMS 339 – Surface Training Systems

  • IWS X - Integrated Combat System Document Center

  • PEO IWS 6.0 - Command and Control

  • PEO IWS 80 - Atlanta Integrated Combat Systems

  • Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) Foreign Operations (FOROPS)

  • Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) - Office of Special Programs

  • Office of Naval Research (ONR)

HOW A PROGRAMMER EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

● Builds and codes applications and/or models using various computer programming languages

● Program Expert responsibilities include providing guidance and direction to employees about various programs within the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

● Required Experience: 15 years of full time experience in network computer equipment and routine computer programming.

● Required Technical Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Program Expert or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, researching, and report writing

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities

  • Good time management and organizational skills

  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Program Specialist

● Security Clearance Level: Secret

● Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Plan and attend collaboration meetings to ensure projects are on schedule

  • Create monthly and/or quarterly budgets for all company programs

  • Provide consultation services regarding compliance with tax laws, policies, and company procedures

  • Report feedback on the success and/or failure of certain projects and activities
