Collins Aerospace is looking for a talented Sr. Material Proposal Analyst to work with our Mission Systems team in Cheshire, CT!

At Collins Aerospace, we strategically engage our supply base to secure competitive budgetary pricing, which is crucial for crafting winning proposals and securing new business opportunities. In this role, you will cultivate and manage comprehensive relationships with both internal and external customers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration during bid and proposal processes. Additionally, you will direct and oversee all supply chain schedules, meticulously coordinating every aspect to support our bids and proposals, driving efficiency and precision.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare comprehensive Government case file documentation for the Procurement Organization, adhering to established policies, procedures, FAR, and DFARS

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of historical and current pricing and sourcing data to develop detailed written price analyses

  • Engage with various functional areas, including the Supply Chain Organization, Engineering, Program, and Pricing/Cost Estimating, to gather sourcing information that supports bid activities

  • Maintain strong relationships with supplier contacts through professional communication and prompt resolution of issues

  • Collaborate with team members to review proposal activities, driving continuous process improvement

  • Represent the Procurement Organization as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in proposal-related matters during Government and internal audits, and when responding to Requests for Information (RFIs)

  • Efficiently balance the management of individual bids with the collective workflow

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Proficiency in MS Office i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Proposal Process or Government Documentation and Procurement (preferred but not required)

  • Proficient in ERP Systems (e.g., SAP)

  • Proven Experience in Cross-Functional Teams including operations/production, technical/engineering, finance, and more

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Ability to become the go-to expert for bids and proposals

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
