Children's Home and Aid Assistant Site Manager – Early Childhood in Chicago, Illinois

The Assistant Site Manager is a critical member of the Mitzi Freidheim Child & Family Center team, providing supervision and coaching to teachers in our 3-5 classrooms. As the Assistant Site Manager, you'll provide training, coaching, and reflective supervision to early childhood classroom teaching staff, including Teachers and Master Teachers. In addition, the Assistant Site Manager works closely with other program staff and leaders, develop relationships with parents and families and encourage their involvement in the Early Head Start and Prevention Initiative education programs and provide leadership and guidance to classroom staff in the development, writing, and implementation of daily lesson plans and classroom routings and transitions.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor's in a similar field with at least 30credits of early childhood coursework with a Level 5 Infant Toddler Gateways Credential.

  • A minimum of four years’ early childhood education experience (additionally, supervisory experience in an early childhood setting highly desirable).

  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience required (in some circumstance, with approval from the Vice President and Human Resources, internal Master Teacher candidates who do not have management experience may be allowed to apply.)

  • Food Sanitation Certification preferred.

Job details:

  • Compensation: Range starts at $60,000, offers are commensurate with experience.
