Description We are offering a contract for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in Chicago, Illinois. As a Bookkeeper, you will be managing the financial accounting and bookkeeping for a personal trust and LLCs, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role involves working with high-net-worth individuals in a family office setting, requiring a high level of discretion and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and promptly process financial transactions

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Perform detailed bank reconciliations to track financial activities

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a regular basis, summarizing income, expenses, and other key financial metrics

• Collaborate closely with tax professionals to provide necessary documentation and financial data for tax filing purposes

• Accurately record and monitor income from investments, dividends, and capital gains

• Support various administrative and bookkeeping functions to maintain smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping

• Track and categorize expenses, assist with budget preparation, and ensure timely payment of bills and invoices

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, adhering to applicable financial and tax regulations

• Manage the financials of multiple entities while keeping records well-organized and accessible. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with accounts payable (AP)

• Experience with accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Demonstrated bookkeeping skills

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience in month end close procedures

• Knowledge of payroll processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
