Accenture Client Data Protection Controls Associate Manager in Chicago, Illinois

As a Client Data Protection Controls Associate Manager, you have a keen attention to detail with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. With your excellent organizational, communication, and management skills, you will lead training sessions and workshops to promote data protection compliance within the organization and stakeholder groups.You will develop, implement, and monitor data protection controls to ensure the security and privacy of client data and reduce business risk to Accenture and our clients. This role involves assessing risks, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and collaborating with various departments to enhance data protection practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Protection Controls:

  • Develop and implement data protection controls to safeguard client data

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of data protection controls

  • Identify and address vulnerabilities in data protection measures

  • Monitor the sales cycle for new deals and provide support about Client Data Protection controls and standards

  • Risk Assessment

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to client data

  • Analyze the likelihood and impact of identified risks

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies

  • Work with the client teams to develop action plans based on assessment findings and work to close identified gaps

  • Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance

  • Contribute to the Client Data Protection control points and standard deliverables by providing reviews and recommending enhancements to reduce risk exposure

  • Data Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze data related to data protection risks and trends

  • Use statistical and analytical tools to assess data protection controls

  • Prepare and present data protection analysis reports to senior management

  • Training and Awareness:

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on data protection practices and policies

  • Develop and deliver data protection awareness programs

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to other team members to incorporate data practices and standards across our delivered services and technology platforms

  • Assist client teams with Client Data Protection methodologies and best practices

  • Incident Response:

  • Investigate and respond to data protection incidents and breaches

  • Develop and implement incident response plans

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to address and resolve data protection incidents

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of data protection controls, risk assessments, and related activities

  • Prepare and present reports on data protection activities to senior management and other stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data protection, information security, risk management

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with statistical and analytical tools and software (i.e. Excel, SAS, R Python, SQL, Tableau)

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience leading, mentoring or coaching cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business, Law, or related field

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively convey complex climate-related risks

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with various stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Data protection and privacy

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
