TAD PGS, Inc. Community Outreach and Training Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aCommunity Outreach and Training Coordinatorto join a leading Company located in theChicago, ILsurrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include organizing outreach events, collaborating with officials and community groups, maintaining social media presence, and developing educational materials to support training initiatives.

  • Understand the mission of the company and human rights and ethics rules and issues.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with representatives of community and social and civic organizations for the purpose of disseminating human rights information and resources.

  • Develop training presentations and materials on laws enforced by the department , including the Ethics Ordinance, Human Rights Ordinance, and labor related laws tailored to employees, elected officials, vendors, lobbyists, members of the public, community groups, etc.

  • Develop content and materials for special outreach programs such as workshops, meetings, and conferences.

  • Ensure that each outreach activity is managed within the budget.

  • Create outreach materials such as flyers, posters, and guidance documents.

  • Regularly update and maintain social media accounts.

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff members and volunteers to assist in carrying out community outreach activities.

  • Develop local strategies for public outreach and education.

  • Track outreach and training metrics.

  • Support policy analyst in press and general inquiries.

  • Support edits to company webpages.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, and three (3) years of experience in public administration, community outreach, communications role or an equivalent combination of professional work experience, training, and education.

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal human rights and ethics ordinances, laws, and standards.

  • Possess a command of all applicable ordinances and can provide public outreach and education to various members of the public including elected officials, professional and trade organizations, employers, and community groups.

  • Demonstrate and uphold the highest levels of integrity, ethical conduct, and stewardship.

  • Knowledge of current best practices and trends related to human rights and effective ethics and accountability programs.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail and be conscientious about work product. Ability to think innovatively but create solutions in a pragmatic manner .

  • Ability to respond and interact with press and media contacts.

  • Ability to build formal relationships with community, non-profit, and advocacy organizations and leveraging those relationships for collaboration and outreach.

  • Ability to manage a program budget.

  • Ability to manage interns and fellows.

  • Ability to edit webpages with training and support. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Public Administration.

  • Prior supervisory or managerial work experience. Exceptional writing and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in non-English language.
