TEKsystems Cybersecurity Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Our customer is looking for a Security Project Manager to join their team. This project manager will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of multiple million-dollar cybersecurity projects using Microsoft Project. Requires senior -level management and project management experience, with some cybersecurity experience and the ability to work with various technologies like firewalls, infrastructure, and the industry. Financial management experience (processing quotes, managing budgets, and communicating financial status) is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, initiate, and manage (IT) projects related to cybersecurity.

• Lead and guide the work of technical staff and serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.

• Develop project plans, goals, and budgets; identify resources needed, develop schedules and methods for measuring results.

• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of new systems and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices in cybersecurity.

• Coordination work for Information security documentations including monthly metrics, status for leadership, SOW, contracts, MSAs. project data and status update in ServiceNow.

• Work with various IT teams including PMO, legal, finance, communications, and other cross functional technical teams to meet Information security program objectives.

• Onboard/offboard Information security vendors and service providers, support evaluating new security solutions POC and POV.

• Support program management team to manage deadlines, budgets and activities for Information security projects and related activities.

• Create Purchase Orders, Goods receipt in SAP system.

• Work closely with stakeholders and business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Monitor progress of projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

• Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders.

• Evaluate the organization's cybersecurity posture on an ongoing basis and recommend improvements as necessary.

• Any other tasks assigned by the manager.

Desired Qualification

• Degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• PMP or Prince 2 certified

• Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISM, or CEH are a plus.

• 5+ years of experience in project management, in IT and cybersecurity.

• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex security topics to both technical and non-technical staff.

• Good understanding of the objectives of an Information security program.

• Good knowledge of contract, SOW, MSA management.

• Excellent working knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Experience in operations budget, cost classification, purchase/order processes, invoicing.

• Ability to work on site (Chicago) three days a week
